Our business jets are more than productivity tools
Over 1,000 are in use in special applications worldwide
Bombardier business jets are well known for their spacious cabins and high-tech capabilities, making them the best-in-class business aircraft, but they can also provide solutions for non-business needs. Currently, there are over 1,000 Bombardier business aircraft in specialized applications worldwide, more than any other business jet manufacturer1.
Here’s a description of just three of these specialized applications for our business jets:
1- Government applications
Governments use business aircraft for a multitude of missions, including VIP transport, maritime patrol, as well as humanitarian and diplomatic efforts. The Challenger platform is a popular aircraft with many governments because of its superior comfort, intercontinental range and multi-role capabilities.
2- Medevac applications
Our Learjet and Challenger aircraft are ideal for medevac missions. Due to its class-leading cabin length, the Learjet is the only aircraft in its segment capable of accommodating tandem stretchers. The auxiliary power unit is also certified for unattended operation and can continuously supply power to key life support equipment. The high-performing Challenger family of aircraft can be specially outfitted with intensive care units, representing the next generation of airborne medical evacuation. The Challenger’s exceptionally smooth ride benefits passengers, minimizes pilot fatigue and extends the life of mission equipment.

3- Special mission applications
Bombardier’s wide array of business jets are the go-to solution for the most demanding and critical special missions such as command and control, communication, intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance. Bombardier Global aircraft are already in service with elite clientele, having completed thousands of missions over the last decade, and demonstrating excellent dispatch reliability.
Before being selected as the platform for a specialized technological payload and mission, the aircraft are evaluated based on size, weight, power, cooling margin capability and endurance. The Global family of aircraft delivers on all measures and when combined with unbeatable airfield performance, offers a single platform with multiple applications.
